The "magnification" of a view is inversely proportional to the
width or height of the image, expressed as a real number giving a
distance on the complex plane, not an integer giving the number of
pixels.
The highest magnification you can use for a view depends on the pixel
size of the view and the number of digits of accuracy used in the
computations.
