Rundown (glossary entry)
rundown n. (deprecated) A process of going through a list to check for many different possibilities that have been identified in the past, with the objective of answering a generally-stated question. For example, one can read through the "team" section of each of the 15 MCV pages to identify which (if any) team diseases are present.
The word probably derives from the phrase "to run down a list", but I first heard it being used in connection with Dianetics, where it has a much more specific meaning. For that reason I try to avoid it.
