MDI Leadership Skills Assessment (202604)
You are on a Men's Team that wants to perform a skills assessment of the team leader (or captain, tribe leader, division coordinator, etc.)
There is no single simple instruction for doing this process.
The only result you need to accomplish is to get the following information to the man designated to collect the answers. That man may be the team leader himself, or perhaps an S1, chief of staff, or some other man designated to "run" the skills assessment.
- The scores (1-5) that you give your leader on each of the 16 aualities listed below (1. Purpose Driven, 2. Has and Holds a Vision, etc.)
- The written answer to the final question (Additional Comments about your Team Leader)
Get this information to the man in charge of conducting this skills assessment.
Do not get stuck thinking that the method of communication has to be exactly what you want. You probably know how to use email, but cut and paste might not work, so you may need to type out the words (like "purpose driven") along with each of your 1-5 scores.
Your Team Leader stepped up to the job in (year, month), charged with bringing you and your Men together to support each other through the work that is uniquely available on your Men's Team.
Use 1..5 ratings (as defined in the key to ratings below) to score him on each of the 16 qualities that follow. Be prepared to discuss your answers in a future meeting, particularly if you and your teammates rate the leader quite differently from his own self-rating. It will help if you take some notes now, regarding what came to mind as you chose your scores; that's what the final "Additional Comments" question is for.
When you have completed the survey, communicate your answers to whoever your Team Leader has designated. Your answers should remain confidential within your Team (or tribe, division, etc.).
(Items marked with "*" were added since the original 2009 version.)
