It is common (though technically inaccurate) to refer to a
complex number
as a "point", since the complex number corresponds to a point on
the complex plane.
If the complex number is a + b i, the coordinates of the point
are a and b.
Also, the word "point" is a colloquial term for R2t , a.k.a. the "Tip"
or "westernmost" point in the Mandelbrot Set: -2 + 0i .
